Jewar-Noida International Airport, officially Noida International Greenfield Airport, is an international airport being constructed near the town of Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Once completed, it is planned to be the country’s largest airport. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will be the implementing agency on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The airport is to be developed through a publicprivate partnership model (PPP). The proposed plan is to build a two runway airport by 2024, and at a future date, to expand it into a 7,200 acres (2,900 ha) sixrunway airport. According to the proposed plan, the airport will handle five million passengers per annum (MPA) initially and up to 60 MPA to 120 MPA, after its expansion over a period of 30 years. Construction of this airport is handed over to Larsen and Toubro.
